Welcome to 2025! Today we are going to be shining the spotlight on Mindy. Please take a few moments to read her story as she details how progress is not always linear and demonstrates how consistency is the key.

"In the Spring of 2022, our third and last child graduated high school and left for college. I thought it was time I started focusing on my health.  I took a leap of faith and signed up for the 14-day trial advertised on Facebook. I was instantly drawn to the small class sizes, encouraging instructors, cheerful atmosphere, modified workouts, and supportive clientele.  I committed to 2 days a week a to start. My plan did not work out as I had hoped, shortly after signing up I tore my meniscus and had to have knee surgery.  It felt like fate was against me trying to get healthy but through it all the instructors at Fab Fit, kept encouraging me.  It took about a year to get healthy. I know it would have been a lot more challenging had I not had FabYOUlous fitness helping me modify my workouts.

Over my first 2 years with FabYOUIous fitness I was not the best at tracking specific milestones, but not giving up has been my biggest WIN!  Putting a timetable on my success historically has led to disappointment. I decided to just listen to my body, a statement that Kim and all the instructors have continually reinforced. One thing I must remember is that I did not get in this heavy in just a few years, I have been heavy and fought obesity, my entire life.  I do make small mini goals for myself especially when I am feeling down or out of sorts like getting through a whole class without modifying, adding a step or band, or using the TRX more, that is the beauty of this program, flexibility.

This past April I committed to getting more active.  I signed up for Unlimited for 1 month to experience a variety of classes to get out of my comfort zone and decide what membership I wanted for the upcoming year. As a result of the experiment, I decided to sign up for more classes for the next year, 3 a week to ensure I stayed engaged and on a consistent path. This was a great win for me, I also tried signing up for the social events too which are so nice and engaging.  FabYoulous fitness has brought me out of my shell and helped me get to where I am today. I cannot thank them enough."
