Client Spotlight: Stephanie Graham

Ready for some inspiration!? This month’s CLIENT SPOTLIGHT definitely will leave you feeling fired up!

Check out the story of our client, Stephanie.

She has made an incredible transformation. She’s been working with us for about 9 months now, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Stephanie is proof that even with a two boys under 12 (and all of their activities) plus a full-time job, with consistency and patience you can make your goals a reality!

Stephanie is 48 years old and a Magistrate with Domestic Relations Court.  She's married with two boys who are 11 and 7. Here's more from Stephanie:

"I started my "diet" modifications 3 years ago, in January 2017, by changing to a Keto/Low Carb WOE.  I was sick and tired of feeling "sick and tired". My weight was creeping (sometimes leaping) higher and higher, I was missing out on activities with my then 8 and 4 year old boys, and just generally was in a constant state of exhaustion and anxiety.  I stayed on Keto for about 6 months, quickly lost 30 pounds and then stalled out.  I maintained the 30 pound loss but didn't make much other progress, just hanging out there.  In December 2018, I decided to make a New Year's Resolution to add in exercise and eat low carb but not Keto.  I joined a "big box" gym, and began going 3 to 5 times a week doing just a treadmill interval workout I found in a fitness magazine years ago. I wasn't satisfied with that, so I asked on a Facebook Mom's group about places to exercise and Kim responded and messaged me about FabYOUlous Fitness and it was the BEST thing that could have happened.  It still took me 2 more months to sign up for SGT (Small Group Training) and walk through the doors, but once I did, I was hooked!  

I have lost a total of 80 pounds, 50 of which have been since starting at FabYOUlous Fitness in April 2019. I regret not measuring my progress in inches lost, but I know I have lost many inches. I am down 4 pants sizes! My doctor has been reducing my blood pressure meds, my A1c dropped from pre-diabetic levels to completely normal levels and my thyroid function is well within a healthy range. I saw my doctor just last week for a progress check in, and she was so proud and told me I was 'doing everything right!' 

I feel amazing. I have made a 180 from couch potato with zero energy and motivation to the Energizer Bunny! I look forward to my "me time" every day at the studio and I am so pleased with how I am modeling a healthier lifestyle for my sons. I rediscovered my own self-worth in an environment that is warm, welcoming and supportive. I feel empowered to try new things and not at all intimidated or self-conscious."

We asked Stephanie the following questions and this is how she responded:

1. Your best piece of advice for someone just starting out: Trust the process!  Invest the time and you will reap the rewards.  Don't compare yourself to anyone else -- you are unique and your journey will be too. 

2. Favorite quote:  Not sure I have one

3. Favorite book:  "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee 

4. Favorite workout song:  So many to choose from!  My current favorites are on Kristi's Fab HIIT Playlist!  

Watching Stephanie’s transformation has been so incredible for all of us here at FabYOUlous Fitness! 

Her positive attitude, willingness to try new things, motivation of other participants has truly been an inspiration.
