I often get asked about our Small Group Training and what that really means. It can mean different things at different fitness studios, so let’s dive into what Small Group Training looks like at FabYOUlous Fitness.

Our Small Group Training sessions are the most popular service we offer at the studio. Why? Research shows that people who work out with others enjoy exercise more than those who exercise alone and so they are likely to be more consistent. Scheduling your workout and committing to showing up - not just to your trainer, but to your workout buddies, too - it’s what I like to call “layers of accountability”. Those layers - your commitment to yourself, your appointment with your SGT trainer, your commitment to your workout buddies, make it really hard to cancel or not show up.

There’s a very special bond or sense of camaraderie that comes from working out with a friend or group of people. Everyone walks away with a feeling of accomplishment - not just from completing the workout - but from helping encourage others to do the same. It’s what keeps many choosing this option again and again as opposed to going it alone.

Our studio limits Small Group Training to a max of 5 women per session. We do this for several reasons

  • Smaller group size allows us to offer individualized attention and modifications when needed.

  • Smaller groups tend to be less intimidating.

  • Smaller groups allow for closer relationships, bonds, and a sense of camaraderie.

  • Smaller groups allow us to focus on proper form to reduce the risk of injury and increase results.

  • Smaller groups make the whole experience more fun!

I am challenging you to the following…

  1. Schedule your workouts for the week.

  2. Schedule at least one of those with at least one other person.

  3. Bring a friend with you to SGT at the studio - a workout date! <—Email me to get this set-up.

Are you up for the challenge? Pay close attention to how you feel during and after your workout. I’d love to hear about your experience! Tell me all about it by hitting "reply" on this email.
