Kim has always been interested in health and fitness, but it wasn’t until after the birth of her second child that she decided to turn that passion into a career. While training for a half marathon and working out at a local big-box gym, she often felt uncomfortable and out of place—so much so that she would sometimes skip exercises altogether just to avoid the fear of “doing it wrong” or being judged.
As she went through her personal training education, Kim realized she wasn’t alone. So many women avoid the gym—or stop exercising entirely—not because they don’t care, but because they feel intimidated, unsure, or unsupported. That realization became the foundation of her work.
After earning her certification, Kim began training clients in a small women-only studio, where she focused on creating a safe, welcoming environment that removed fear and guesswork from exercise. Over the past decade, her mission has remained the same: eliminate the barriers that keep women from prioritizing their health and help them feel strong, confident, and capable in their bodies.
As Kim entered midlife herself, her work naturally evolved. She saw firsthand how perimenopause and menopause can change energy levels, recovery, sleep, body composition, and motivation—and how traditional fitness approaches often fail women during this stage of life. Today, Kim specializes in helping women in perimenopause and menopause build strength, improve mobility, sleep better, and restore energy through evidence-based strength training and sustainable lifestyle habits.
In 2018, Kim opened FabYOUlous Fitness as a brick-and-mortar studio dedicated to women, and in June 2023 the studio expanded into a larger space to serve even more women in the community. FabYOUlous Fitness is now known as a supportive, judgment-free space where women are coached—not pushed—and where workouts are designed to support hormones, joints, and long-term health.
An avid learner, Kim holds certifications in Precision Nutrition Sleep, Stress Management, and Recovery, as well as the Girls Gone Strong Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist credential. She is passionate about combining education, compassion, and smart programming to help women navigate midlife with clarity, confidence, and strength—so they can define how they want to age and truly feel FabYOUlous doing it.
