As I have grown older, I have noticed an inability to keep my balance when doing chores around the house and a general lack of strength. I knew I had to work on both before it got the better of me. I happened to come across FabYOUlous Fitness on Facebook and set up an appointment with Kim. It is a wonderful experience; I know my balance has improved thru their mobility and balanced core sessions as well as the strength sessions. There are normally no more than 6 participants with a highly trained, patient, personable coach who has many options for those of us who need to adapt some of the exercises due to various physical challenges. Most importantly, they are so encouraging; they bolster your mental as well as physical fitness.
Checking in with you frequently is another bonus, I meet with Kim on a monthly basis and know she and the other coaches are there for feedback if needed. I do have depression, and for some reason it has been worse these past few months. Kim suggested using a lightbox, so I gave it a go and it has been a wonderful lift to my days. This is another example of how FYF has helped me in other ways; they offer a holistic approach to wellness.
I love the fact that it is a woman only facility that encourages us while recognizing our special needs that mainstream gyms do not. I could go on and on about how great this studio is, but you need to try it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
