I started my journey at FabYOUlous Fitness journey in January 2020, however I have been on this journey to health and fitness most of my life.  I used to be very athletic and active, but within the last 7 years my work-life balance was off, my stress level was extremely high and I rarely took the time to work out, so during that time I gained a lot of weight.  In December while recording my 3 young sons skiing, I realized that I could actually hear myself breathing on the recording and I could barely walk from the ski lodge to the hill to record them.  And I really wanted to be on the slope with them having fun instead of standing at the bottom of the hill in pain and utter exhaustion. 

That was my breaking point when I realized that I really need to change the direction of my health.   So spending quality time with my boys is my “WHY” to get healthy.

 We went home and I immediately began to research  work-out facilities and options during the COVID-19 pandemic.  I saw Kim On Facebook and absolutely loved the idea of working out in a facility with only women.  The FabYOUlous Fitness community of instructors and members is amazing and I love how everyone is very supportive and the variety of workouts are awesome.  I really love how the instructors know the clients so well and provide variations to  movements during classes to members with injuries or limitations.  That was so important to me when I started as I really couldn’t do some of the movements, and I know it really makes the members feel special and important.

Since I started at FabYOUlous Fitness I have lost a little over 40 lbs. and have finally made working out a priority in my life!  I have also changed my diet completely and focus on mainly 3 small meals and 2 small snacks, focusing on protein.

I still have 60 more lbs. to lose to reach my goal weight, but I’m heading in the right direction!   I recently discovered that that my journey to lose weight is really marathon and not a sprint.  Hard work and dedication for the long haul is the only way to reach and maintain a healthy life style.  And of course surrounding yourself with a supportive and amazing community like FabYOUlous Fitness!
