Today we are shining the spotlight on Lindsey as we learn more about what inspired her and her journey.
Q: What is your favorite inspirational quote?
“Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” Hebrews 12:1
Q: What are your personal health and fitness goals?
My health and fitness goal is to be able to run half and full marathons again; something I did in my early 20s into my early 30s. Another goal is to provide my children and family with a healthy and active lifestyle.
Q: What ONE thing keeps you most focused and motivated to continue to work hard to reach your goals?
I know that I can do it because I have done it before. It was hard work then and it will be hard work now. I have run 15 full marathons and the thoughts of seeing my children and husband at the finish line motivates me! Creating short term goals, like running the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot, keeps me focused. Strength training and living a healthy lifestyle will help me reach my goal.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with us?
I moved to Lewis Center in 2018. My husband grew up in Galena and when we would come to visit from Northern Virginia we always talked about raising and growing our family here. When we moved here I began my journey with infertility and at the same time was looking for a fitness program that was small and close knit. I did some research and came across Kim’s name and FabYOUlous Fitness and the rest is history. 😊
Q: How has FabYOUlous Fitness made a difference in your life?
Honestly, without FabYOUlous Fitness, I do not think my fertility, pregnancy, and child birth process would have been as “up” as it was. I trained through two miscarriages and both my pregnancies. FabYOUlous fitness, and the women I have met, have become my second family. Hannah not only became my trainer, but also my friend. Without her I do not know if I could have physically gotten through my labor with my son, Wyatt, who is now 12 weeks old. Labor ended up being 27 hours with some complications.
Q: What kinds of milestones have you accomplished and what specific results have you achieved so far?
Between having Hannah and Wyatt (2 years apart) I was able to run a couple of 3 and 4 mile races. Between November 2022 and July 2022, I dropped over a minute from my pace per mile. FabYOUlous fitness helped me get to this milestone.
Q: What is your “word” of the year?!
Grace
Q: What made you decide to want to join FabYOUlous Fitness?
The energy of the trainers and women I met during my very first HITT class. This is the first one I attended when I joined.
Q: What kinds of results have you achieved so far?
I just returned to working out a few weeks ago - once I was cleared by my doctor. I would say walking through the door after 8 weeks off was an achievement!
Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?
Not to be scared and that there are women at FabYOUlous fitness, both trainers and members, that will support, encourage, motivate and help you through the change and help you to stay committed.
