Jennifer reflects on her first year at FabYOUlous Fitness and how it exceeded every expectation. What started as a search for a women’s-only gym turned into finding a supportive community with caring trainers, one-on-one check-ins, nature walks, mobility classes, assisted stretching, social events, and educational workshops. Beyond the extras, she’s gained strength, lost 30 pounds, reduced aches and pains, and improved her balance and mobility. For her, FabYOUlous isn’t just a gym—it’s a place where women thrive together.
"One year ago today, I walked into
FabYOUlous fitness for the first time. What I expected: 1) A woman's only gym with personal training and small group classes. That's it.
What I didn't expect: 1) Trainers that truly care. 2) Trainers that schedule monthly one on one check-ins to discuss progress, struggles, goals, nutrition, sleep, stress, or anything else you need/want to talk/vent about. 3) Planned weekly group walks in nature!!! Want to explore new trails but have watched too many true crime documentaries or have an overactive imagination and don't want to walk alone? They got you!!!! 4) Instructor let mobility/stretching classes! These are my favorite things ever. My mobility and flexibility has increased so much since I started doing just one of these classes a week! Very relaxing and feels great! 5) Assisted stretching sessions!!!! I didn't even know this was a thing!!! I have not had the opportunity to try this yet, but you better believe it's on my to do list!!! 6) Organized monthly social events!!! Bingo night, Garden parties, Paint and Sip, etc. I have not attended any of these events yet, but the fact that it is a thing they do is amazing. 7) Educational events where other professional women discuss topics that affect women's health... headaches, hormones, bone health, and many more! I'm sure there are many other things I am forgetting, or maybe things I don't even know they offer yet! This is not just a gym, this is a community that helps women thrive through all stages of life! I don't have much free time that allows me participate in all the extra events they offer, but I know they are there if I need them!!!
Since joining I have gained strength, lost 30 pounds, toned muscles, decreased aches and pains, increased my mobility, and I cannot even express how much my balance has improved!!!
