Ellen's Story: Becoming the Strongest Mom She Could Be

Some journeys to strength start with a single decision. For Ellen, it started by watching her mother walk through our doors. What followed was a year of showing up, challenging her body, and discovering a confidence she didn't know she'd been missing, one that's since carried her up a via ferrata and across 11 miles of trail. This is her story.

"My journey to FabYOUlous Fitness began with my mother. Watching her join this gym with such determination — committed to improving her mobility and embracing strength as she aged — inspired me in a way I didn't expect. I had tried virtual sessions before, but between four kids and the demands of daily life, something always seemed to interrupt my time at home. I knew I needed a dedicated space that would keep me consistent and motivated. I needed somewhere to go that would help me become the strongest mom I could be — and that's exactly what I found here.

Nearly a year later, I can honestly say FabYOUlous Fitness has given me a confidence I didn't know I was missing. This community has pushed me to challenge my body in ways I never imagined. Earlier this month, I conquered our local via Ferrata, and just this past week I completed an 11-mile hike through Zaleski State Forest in six hours. These aren't just physical achievements — they're proof of what happens when you show up for yourself, consistently, surrounded by women who believe in you.

To anyone who thinks it might be too late to start — it isn't. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk through that door. You don’t need to be at a certain fitness level or have a certain goal in mind. The women here will meet you exactly where you are

— no judgement, just encouragement. You deserve a space that reminds you that you belong here, every single time you show up."
